Well hello there! I will try to keep this short and sweet … I’m 17 years old and currently in my last year at St Margaret’s Academy. Well like most young brass players I started learning the trombone in primary school. Shortly after going to high school I joined West Lothian Schools Brass Band and from then on I was hooked to banding. The band has allowed me to compete in the Scottish and British youth championships and tour Germany. I also study at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama Junior Department, and hope to go on to study at the senior academy next year. As well as trombone playing I am also a keen pianist and singer and have sung in the National Youth Choir of Scotland up until last year. I joined Bathgate band when I was 13 for a few years then left for a short period to concentrate on exams and other commitments. It is good to be back now and so far it has been a very successful season and a lot of fun!
